Excellence and baroque refinement are on the program of this unforgettable concert recorded at the Verbier Festival 2023. During this event, Kristóf Baráti interprets Vivaldi’s Four Seasons on four different Stradivari violins brought together for the first time: the ‘Rosenheim’ from 1686 (Spring), the ‘Lady Harmsworth’ from 1703 (Summer), the ‘ex-Rothschild’ from 1713 (Autumn), and the ‘Comte Sauzay’ from 1721 (Winter). These masterpieces take us on a journey through highly descriptive scenes, with a remarkable range of emotions expressed precisely and tastefully by Kristof Baráti, who successfully tackles the extreme challenge of these successive changes, transitioning from one priceless instrument to another with apparent ease and accompanied by the musicians of the prestigious Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra. The violinist also collaborates with French pianist Julien Quentin, who demonstrates his harpsichord talent.
